Lagos - The Transmission Company of Nigeria, (TCN) has
appealed to Nigerians for patience over the drastic drop in power supply.
Power generation in the country has nosedived in recent

and assures that it will continue to work hard to ensure power supply stability
in the country," a TCN statement added.
The country's power generation currently stands at 400
TCN attributed the drastic drop to the recent closure of
the Agip Okpai Power Station in Delta State for maintenance.
The statement noted that the five-day maintenance
exercise is carried out yearly to ensure equipment availability as well as
improved grid performance and stability.
The statement said that as a result of the development,
there would be nationwide load- shedding during the period.
"The maintenance is critical and must be carried out
to ensure that the station continues to contribute maximally to the nation's
generation capacity," TCN stated.
