Abuja - Tax evaders seeking to travel abroad may soon find it difficult to do so if the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) succeeds with its intention to push for the consideration of Tax Clearance Certificates (TCC) as one of the requirements for travelers, reports Nigerian Pilot.
Kabir Mashi, Acting Executive Chairman of FIRS, said those who circumvent tax obligations won’t be able to do business or travel abroad without evidence of tax payment and attestation.
He noted that TCC has become a key travel document requirement for anybody eyeing global businesses.
