Lagos - The four major telecommunications companies in the country have shown interest to be listed on the main board of the bourse, reports Business World.
If successful, the four firms- MTN Nigeria, Globacom, Airtel and Etisalat – will add a princely $38.5 billion to the capitalisation of the exchange.
Oscar Onyema, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the NSE, said the feedback from these companies seems to be very good in terms of their interest in participating in the stock market.
He noted that the exchange is already looking at some of the things the telecoms firms are asking for that would enable them join the stock market.
