Osogbo - A total blackout seems imminent in some parts of the South- West following an early Friday morning fire at the National Control Centre of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria in Osogbo, reports Naij.com.
The fire, which started around 3am and raged till around 9am affected one of the transformers at the centre. The Osogbo centre is one of the transmission points for the distribution of generated electricity in the country.
Some parts of Osun State have already been thrown into darkness as a result of the fire.
