Minna - The Federal Government has allocated N15 billion for the payment of allowances to 50 000 unemployed graduates expected to be employed under the Graduate Internship Scheme (GIS) of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment-Programme (SURE-P).
Each of the participants to be recruited for the internship programme will earn N25 000 monthly, reports Premium Times.
Akubo Adegbe, coordinator for GIS, said participants will be placed in firms and organisations where they will acquire professional skills, training and work experience to improve their job-placement opportunities.
He disclosed that participants will be placed on a one-year internship with these firms.
