Uyo - Angry youths from Ibeno community in Akwa Ibom State have shutdown the operations of Exxon Mobil following an oil spill from one of the facilities of the multinational oil firm, reports Leadership.
The youths have vowed not to leave the area until the company commences proper remediation on the affected areas spanning over 35 kilometers.
They also want the company to fulfill its earlier promises made after past oil spills in the area.
