The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria claims that President Goodluck Jonathan is an early lead in 22 states of the federation.
Jonathan is said to be leading in Imo, Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Benue, Enugu, Cross Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Plateau, Taraba, Lagos, Ekiti, and Ondo states, while the races in Oyo, Kwara and Kogi states are to close to call.

National Secretary of the Labour Party (LP), Barrister Olukayode Ajulo has called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, Daily Independent reports.
Ajulo said Jega should be blamed for going ahead with the use of the card reader despite stiff opposition from many concerned stakeholders in the polity on the problem that may arose from the use of the cards.

Punch reports that the APC has won the polling unit of former president Olusegun Obasanjo, beating the PDP to a second place.
At the polling unit, Ward 11, Unit 2, Shokori, Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, the APC polled 100 in presidential votes, while the PDP got 16, the report says.

Quoting Radio Nigeria, the report says Buhari may lose the election on technical rule.
The ruling PDP is leading in Plateau, Taraba, Lagos, Ekiti, and Ondo states, while the races in Oyo, Kwara and Kogi states are too close to call, the report says.
