Oarhe challenges Edo SDP chair over alleged discrepancy
The Social Democratic Party (SPD) candidate in the 2015 national assembly elections for House of Representatives, Owan federal constituency, Edo state, Oarhe Dickson has challenged the party's state chairman, Prince Frank Ukonga over issues of an alleged discrepancy to trade his candidacy having been elected as the S.D.P flag bearer.
Oarhe who accused the state chairman of playing the tune as dictated by some paymaster somewhere, however made a separate appeal to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) never to accepted in any form, a name other than his name having emerged candidate of the SDP at her primary election held on 29, November, 2014 at the party's secretariat in Benin city and supervised by three INEC officers.
Oarhe made the disclosure yesterday in Iuleha, Owan west L.G.A where he told large numbers of youths during his campaign tour across various wards in Owan west and Owan east L.G.A. that, "for the youths, the time is now!"
The House of Rep hopeful explained that: "accordingly to an insider information at the disposal of Dickson Oarhe Campaign Network (DOCAN) the grand plan by those to substitute his name is allegedly to be carried at the INEC headquarters during the process of summiting both INEC forms C.F. 001 and E.C. 4B (v)", DOCAN said in a press statement.

"Now that we are very well convinced that Oarhe Dickson having received the said forms met for him earlier from Prince Frank Ukonga, filed and completed the filling of his forms and the same has been handled over back to Prince Frank Ukonga as the state chairman of S.D.P for onward filing at INEC, we pray this entire legitimate process is maintained.
"But from our intelligence gathering, there are moves that both forms as submitted by Dickson Oarhe may not reach INEC since it will be unjustifiably alternated and exchange for another name while on the way, before or at INEC. This is fundamentally illegal and every such attempt will be resisted within the limit of every available legal framework", Braimah Oshomah Kash, DOCAN director of campaigns on strategy maintained.
Oarhe, inform INEC that "on the 29th day of November, 2014, which was on a Saturday I was the only House of Representatives aspirant vying for the position to represent Owan federal constituency, Edo state under the platform of S.D.P and where I emerged the SDP candidate at the end of the primary election held and concluded on that same day."
He therefore appeal to the electoral body not to accept any form which do not reflect the true picture of event that took place on that fateful day which saw him emerged as the S.D.P candidate in the 2015 national assembly election for House of Representatives, Owan federal constituency, Edo state.
