Three major steps to follow for creditable elections
The General Elections in Nigeria that will be held on march 28th, 2015, are greatly significant as they could be the first contested elections with a distinctive variable opposition since the end of military rule in 1999. All the media within and outside are watching as the day of elections is less than 24 hours and we get constant updates on key figures, on power structure, most important development and some also try to make predictions on what would the elections bring to people of the nation.
Since the end of the military regime in 1999, the PDP (People Democratic Party) in Nigeria ruled almost without any opposition. There are indeed, 25 political parties registered at the INEC. However, only a few are noticeable. Right now, the APC (All progressive Congress) is perhaps the only real threat to PDP, yet it still has some tough internal issues to solve.
In order for Nigerians to have a creditable and justifiable elections and for Nigeria to move forward to a new start, whoever the people of Nigeria elect as the next political mandate for differences political offices, there are three major facts and figures for all to consider judiciously.

Firstly, the electoral activity of INEC during elections determines the result of the elections. Election will definitely be creditable only if the electoral body that coordinate the election performs at the best to organise the election processes as it should be. In the statement released on February 7th 2015, the elections were tactically postponed from. February 28th to march 28th 2015. According to the statement, postponing election was chosen due to the security concerns of the INEC and of the Inter- agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES). The INEC chairman: Prof. Attahiru Jega and his associates must be effectively committed in practicing their professional responsibilities because the major coordination of the elections is vested on them.
Secondly, adequate security of life and property is another vital factor that all political leaders and the masses need to handle judiciously. The reason for security concern is obvious for every individual during the elections. The security. Agencies in Nigeria must protect all members of the nation during elections in order to eradicate violence that could mistakenly occur during the election.
Thirdly, the masses and basically the youths must resist from any unlawful acts that hinder them from voting or that could easily causes dis orderliness within the nation. I strongly believe that while following these political ideologies, Nigeria election will not only be a creditable and justifiable election but also will be the best election since independence.
