Ondo - According to DailyIndependent, 2000 members of the All Progressive Party have defected to the People's Democratic Party, barely one week after the APC lost some of it's members.

The APC defected during a political rally which was led by state governor, Olusegun Mimiko.

He urged people to vote for President, Goodluck Jonathan, to ensure they benefit from the Federal Government. Mimiko expressed that if Jonathan wins people will get to experience the change they want.

Those who defected believe Jonathan stands a good chance in be re-elected again and will implement all that was recommended at the National Conference which was convened by the president last year.
