Uyo - A group of 22 aggrieved Akwa Ibom Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirants on Thursday dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Punch.
The group, called G-22, decided to decamp after the party leadership failed to address its grievances.
The grouse of the group has to do with the undemocratic manner the December 8, 2014 governorship primaries was conducted, which did not give all participants equal opportunity.Also read: PDP governorship aspirants threaten to dump party
The aggrieved PDP members are expected to meet the APC’s presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, January 12, 2015.
