Abeokuta - More facts have emerged on what transpired at Monday's meeting between Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and President Goodluck Jonathan in Abeokuta.
The meeting was a tense one for President Jonathan as he was put on the hot seat by Obsaanjo, reports NewsDay.
He asked President Jonathan questions which he had earlier thrown up in his correspondence with him.Also read: Jonathan, Obasanjo meet to mend fences
Obasanjo asked Jonathan to confirm if he did not agree to only run for one term, his slow action to tackling the Boko Haram menace when it was just budding despite warning, why he gave licence to Tompolo and Asari Dokubo to import arms under the names of their private companies and why he appointed Buruji Kashamu as South West leader of PDP rather than hand him over to the US where he is wanted for drug trafficking.
The meeting was attended by Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and the founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, who were there as witnesses on the request of Obasanjo.
