Abuja - Over 500 pastors from the northern part of the country have pledged their support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, reports Leadership.
The pastors under the aegis of Northern Christian Leaders said they are throwing their weight behind Buhari as a result of the enormous decay in the system as witnessed under the present government led by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Habu Aminchi, Chairman of the group, noted that time has come for Nigeria to think of the future and hence the need to forgo temporal benefits.
He urged Buhari to ensure that the country is returned to its glorious standing in the world.
In his response, Buhari expressed happiness at the endorsement, noting that dividing Nigeria along religious line was no longer acceptable.
