8 INEC officials kidnapped in Enugu

Lagos - With the elections underway, suspects who have been labelled as political thugs have kidnapped 8 Independent National Electoral Commission officials in Enugu, Naij reported.

According to reports, the officials were kidnapped this morning with with electoral materials in their possession.

The whereabouts of the officials are yet unknown.

This follows more reports of sporadic incidents across Nigeria as the country decides its next leader.

Earlier the Ekiti state deputy governor, Olusola Eleka's convoy is believed to have been attacked, with one reported casualty.
