Abuja - The women’s leader of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos West, Basirat Ojugbele, has reportedly been arrested after she was found in possession with thumb-printed electoral material.

According to reports, she was arrested at about 1215 (local time) in a bus with registration number FKJ-450XJ. 

Comment could not be obtained from police at the time of publication.

Police had ahead of the elections warned against misconduct during the eagerly-anticipated polls.

The two main contenders, the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) had in the run-up of the poll traded accusations of vote-rigging.
