Lagos - The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has urged the National Human Rights Commission as well as the International Criminal Court to prosecute Governor Ayodele Fayose.

The party accused the governor of making antagonising statements via a radio broadcast in which he urged his supporters to act in rage and violence against the APC.

He is also accused of encouraging attacks against the 19 APC lawmakers in an attempt to stop them from performing their constitutional duties.

The APC has now urged the human rights commission and the ICC to open formal proceedings against Fayose over rights abuses by the governor.

Fayose labelled the accusations as ridiculous and that he was exercising the mandate given to him by the voters.
