APC denies arrest of women leader

Lagos - All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports on social of the arrest of the women leader of the party in Ifako-Ijaye/Ojokoro Local Government Area, Basirat Ojugbele with alleged thumb-printed ballot papers, Daily Independent reports.

A chieftain of the party in Lagos State, Elijah Olu Adewale, who denied the arrest, said the rumour was baseless and unfounded, adding that there was no way the said Ojugbele could come in contact with ballot papers.

Adewale, who is the APC candidate for Ifako-Ijaye Federal Constituency of the House of Representatives, urged his party APC to ensure that the people orchestrating the rumours are exposed.
