APC government will impact positively on masses, says lawmaker

2015-04-09 09:23

Lagos - Yusuf Ayinla, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, on Wednesday said that the incoming All Progressives Congress (APC) government at the centre would impact positively on the masses.

Ayinla, who was elected to represent Mushin Federal Constituency II in the House of Representatives, told newsmen in Lagos that the APC administration would be transparent in its operations.

"Everything will be made public without discrimination. Most especially, the less privileged will have cause to smile. We shall also focus on infrastructural development," he said.

Ayinla said that the value system in Nigeria must change, noting that selfishness and greed were some of the problems that were contributing to societal decay in the country.

The lawmaker said with the emergence of somebody like General Muhammadu Buhari as President-elect, the country was in for better times.

He projected that the constitution would be reviewed in due course and issues like creation of more states and local governments across the country would be addressed by the 8th Assembly.

Ayinla urged the people of Lagos to vote for the APC gubernatorial candidate, Akinwumi Ambode in the April 11 governorship election.

He said that Lagos was too sensitive to be run by experimentation and Ambode had the needed experience to govern the state well.
