Abuja - The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned Gov. Sule Lamido of Jigawa State for calling for the kidnapping of its leaders, reports The Nation.
The party described Lamido’s comment as reckless.
Garba Shehu, Director of Media and Publicity of the party’s Presidential Campaign Organisation, said it was unfortunate that a governor of Lamido’s standing would make such careless statement in front of television cameras at a time when the nation was fighting insecurity.

Shehu, who addressed a press conference in Abuja on Monday, said he hoped that Lamido was joking with the comment.
Lamido had on Tuesday during an interactive session of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDPGF) with the media and civil society organisations called for the abduction of APC leaders as a way of breaking the party.
