APC leaders hold Buhari hostage over appointments

Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari is under intense pressure to make some key appointments against his wish, reports New Telegraph.

The pressure is from some All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders who are trying to arm twist Buhari to zone key appointments to their regions.

Some powerful Northern power brokers had impressed it on Buhari to restrict his search for the headship of certain sensitive positions to the region.

The Northern leaders are insisting on getting the Secretary to the Government (SGF), Chief of Staff, National Security Adviser (NSA) and the headship of the Federal Ministry of Finance.
