Lagos - The Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, claimed that he had substantial evidence which suggests that the All Progressives Party in the state are planning to postpone the upcoming election, Punch reported.

He further went on to state that he and the PDP were fully opposed to any postponement of the elections in the state.
He also asked for assurances that the APC along with security agencies were not intending to instigate any actions that would cause the cancellation of the election.
A delay in the election would then ensure that a delayed poll would be held under the Buhari administration.
Chairman of the APC in Rivers, Davies Ikanya said that they had lost confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission in the state to conduct the governorship poll.
