Minna - The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello on Wednesday shunned the Niger State gubernatorial debate, reports Nigerian Pilot.
The organisers of the debate, the Niger State Coalition of Business and Professional Associations (NICOBPA), the Nigerian Election Debate Group( NEDG), and the International Republican Institute, had extended invitations to all the parties fielding candidates for the governorship election in the state.

Although, Bello was away to perform the lesser hajj in Saudi Arabia, his deputy, Mohammed Ketso, who was to stand for him failed to show up at the event.
Seven political parties; Action Alliance (AA),African Democratic Congress (ADC), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Progressives Peoples Alliance( PPA), Social Democratic Party (SDP) and United Progressives Party (UPP) participated in the debate.
