Uyo - Supporters of the All Progressives Congress in Akwa ibom State has taken over the streets in Uyo, the state capital, reports The Nation.
They are protesting over irregularities and snatching of ballot boxes by thugs suspected to be members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the governorship and House of Assembly elections that took place across the 31 local government areas on Saturday.

The party supporters mounted road blocks in major streets preventing vehicular movements.
Some of the protesters also carried placards with various inscriptions.
The candidate of the PDP, Udom Emmanuel is projected to beat the APC candidate, Umana Umana in the election.
