Birnin Kebbi - The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu has been declared winner of the governorship election held in the state, reports The Nation.
Bagudu won in 19 local governments out of the 21 local governments in the state leaving only two for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Sarkin Yaki Bello.
Bagudu polled a total of 477 376 total votes to defeat Bello who had 293 443 votes.

The results were announced by the collation officer for the governorship election in the state, Prof. Lawal Mohammed.
The party also won majority of the seats in the state House of Assembly election.
