Abuja - The Accord Party has adopted President Goodluck Jonathan as its candidate for the presidential election, reports NewsDay.
In adopting Jonathan as its candidate, the party said he remains a better candidate among the two leading contenders.
Adisa Oladapo Nureni, the party’s National Secretary,disclosed that the party decided to settle for Jonathan after weeks of consultations among the party's working committee and other stakeholders.
The party, however, voiced its opposition to the shifting of the February 14 Presidential election.
