Yola - The Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Ahmed Umaru Fintiri has been impeached, reports The Guardian.
The impeachment was carried out on Tuesday by nine out of the 25 lawmakers in the House.
The nine members are believed to be loyalists of the state governor, Bala Ngilari.

The impeachment of Fintiri was done at the Conference Hall of Government House, Yola.
The lawmakers said the decided to meet at the Government House because the complex was shut down by the Speaker.
