Yola - The Adamawa House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of Alhaji Sa'ad Tahir as Deputy Governor of the state.
The confirmation followed Gov. Bala Ngilari’s letter of nomination of Tahir as deputy governor at the Monday plenary session of the House, presided over by the Speaker, Alhaji Ahmadu Fintiri.
Alhaji Ishaq Bala (PDP- Yola North) moved the motion for the confirmation of Tahir as deputy governor and was seconded by the Deputy Speaker of the house, Kwamoti Laori.

The appointment of Tahir, a former House of Representatives member for Yola North/ Yola South/ Girei federal constituency came three months after Gov. Ngilari took over office as substantive Governor of the state.
The media reports that the House at the Monday plenary session also approved Malam Sali Mohammed and Tahir Shehu as commissioners sent to it by the governor, while the third nominee, Timothy Vimtim was rejected.
Vimtim was rejected as commissioner for the second time by the house.
