Lagos - The camp of the governorship candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Jimi Agbaje and that of his All Progressives Congress (APC), Akinwunmi Ambode, on Sunday engaged each other in a war of words over the destruction of campaign materials in the state, reports Tribune.

Both camps are accusing each other of defacing and vandalizing billboards, posters and banners of their candidates across the local governments.

Joe Igbokwe, APC’s Publicity Secretary in the state accused the PDP of pulling down the posters and billboards of APC candidates all over Lagos, even on Lagos State roads.

He said the party had lodged several complaints with the police but nothing had been done.

However, Agbaje in a statement by his Director of Media and Publicity, Felix Oboagwina, said it was the APC and its supporters that were guilty of vandalising the PDP posters.
