Aggrieved PDP aspirants demand for refund

Yola - Aggrieved aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State have threatened to drag the party to court for failing to refund money used to buy nomination forms in the just concluded general elections, reports Premium Times.

The aspirants under the aegis of PDP Aggrieved Aspirants Forum, claimed that the party played a fast one on them by collecting money from them without conducting primaries for the various positions advertised.

Liazaru Eliada-Gugu, Chairman of the group, during a press conference in Yola on Thursday, said the party had reneged on its promise to do something about their case.

Eliada-Gugu, who contested for a senatorial seat, said they have decided to take the party to court after waiting for several weeks for the party to fulfill its promise to them.
