Akure - Members of the Ondo state House of Assembly on Monday re-elected Jumoke Akindele as Speaker of the 8th Assembly, reports Punch.
Akindele was unanimously elected by the members, comprising 21 members from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and five from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Fatai Olotu was elected as Deputy Speaker.

Both Akindele and Olotu are second timers in the House having been first elected in 2011 on the platform of the Labour Party.
The two defected to the PDP in 2014 when the state Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, dumped the LP for the PDP.
