Abuja - Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, has announced the appointment of aides to fill key positions in his administration.
He appointed Etekamba Umoren as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Pastor Bassey Umoh as the Permanent Secretary, Governor’s Office.
Ekerete Udoh was appointed Senior Special Assistant (Media) and Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Governor while Aniekpeno Mkpanang was appointed as the new Permanent Secretary for Special Services Department (SSD).

Edmond Uffang has been appointed as Protocol Chief.
The appointments are said to be part of Emmanuel's agenda to reposition the state.
"The governor wishes the newly appointed aides the very best in the discharge of their responsibilities," read a statement.
