Amaechi, Lamido in secret meeting

Duste - Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State on Sunday met behind closed- doors with his Jigawa State counterpart, Sule Lamido, reports Leadership.

Amaechi, who is the Director-General of the Buhari Presidential Campaign Organisation, visited Lamido has part of efforts to woo him to support Buhari.

Lamido and Amaechi were in the same political camp during the Nigerian Governor’s Forum (NGF) where they opposed President Jonathan’s candidate, Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State.

Lamido had also indicated interest in vying for the presidency but was forced to shelve his ambition and support President Jonathan.

Lamido has secretly endorsed Buhari, describing him as a honest, patriotic and incorruptible person.
