Ambode pledges fund to empower Lagos youths

2015-03-25 13:58

Abuja - The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, has pledged to create an Employment Trust Fund that would provide an annual N1 billion as loans for unemployed youths in the state.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Shomolu area, Ambode said the fund would help take unemployed youth off the streets.

The governorship hopeful also promised to introduce a small-scale medium term entrepreneur credit guarantee scheme that would enable young graduates to access loans without having to approach commercial banks. The banks are said to demand collateral.
