Anti- Jega protest holds in Lagos on Monday

Lagos - Some groups will on Monday in Lagos hold a massive protest against the continued stay in office of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega, reports Tribune.

The protest is being organized by supporters of the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The different groups behind the plan have since begun to mobilise their members to turn up for the march.

Gani Adams, national coordinator of the  Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), one of the groups behind the protest, stressed that Jega was not capable of conducting free and fair polls.

Musicians, comedians and other artistes had been contracted to add colour to the event.
