The Speaker, Mr Terhile Ayua, who spoke after the passage directed the Ministry of Finance to make releases to enable Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) complete their ongoing projects.

Ayua further directed MDAs involved in extra-budgetary expenditure to desist from such practices but rather to resort to supplementary appropriation when the need arises.

The Deputy Speaker, Dr Stephen Onmeje, expressed regrets that the budget was passed five months into the fiscal year, stressing that it would make implementation difficult.

Onmeje, therefore, advised the executive to always submit appropriation bills on time for speedy passage.
