Lagos - With less than two months to the 2015 general elections, fiery Pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has called for the postponement of the elections, reports Tribune.
Bakare in a state of the nation address at his church in Lagos on Sunday called on President Goodluck Jonathan to postpone the elections and institute a transitional government.Also read: Bakare, el-Rufai, advocate revolution
He cited certain fundamental flaws in the polity which he said must be addressed before thinking of conducting the general polls.
Bakare, who was the running mate to former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari in the 2011 presidential election, said his position in the unfolding political situation in the country is that of a nation-builder and not a politician.
