Ado Ekiti - Former Labour Party (LP) chieftain, Opeyemi Bamidele has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports The Nation.
He officially defected on Tuesday along with his teeming party supporters.
Bamidele, who is the Chairman of House of Representatives Committee on Legislative Budget and Research, promised to contribute his quota to strengthen the party.

Bamidele, who was the LP governorship candidate in the June 2014 gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, praised the national leaders of the party, Muhammadu Buhari, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former National Chairman, Bisi Akande and his successor, John Odigie-Oyegun for their resolute belief in him despite his defection to LP.
