Yenogoa - The Peoples Democratic Party in Bayelsa State has suspended its chairman, Sam Inokoba, for alleged financial impropriety, reports National Mirror.
His suspension follows the alleged misconduct and diversion of N70 million given the party by Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke, for the campaign visit of President Goodluck Jonathan.
The decision to suspend Inokoba was taken on Wednesday after an exhaustive deliberation by members of the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party.
Osom Macgebre, the Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, said the SWC's decision has been forwarded to the party’s national leadership and is awaiting ratification.
