Buhari, APC senatorial candidate, wins Oyo North District

Iseyin - The Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Fatai Buhari, has been declared winner of the Oyo North Senatorial District seat.

Prof. Abiodun Sanni, the INEC Returning Officer for the District, announced this at the district’s collation centre in Iseyin on Monday.

He said Buhari polled a total of 100,456 to beat the Labour Party candidate, Tajudeen Were, who polled 75 469 votes.

Sanni further declared that the PDP candidate, Sen. Hosea Agboola, scored 60, 480 votes while Accord party candidate, Christiana Agbejinmi, scored 3 000 votes.

He said that the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Mr Raman Adepoju, got 8, 887 votes.

The Returning Officer consequently declared Buhari winner of the senatorial election in Oyo North.

According to him, a total of 310,662 out 623, 543 eligible voters were accredited in the district.
