Buhari boycotts presidential debate

Abuja - The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhamamadu Buhari will not participate in the presidential debate organised by the Nigeria Election Debate Group (NEDG), reports ThisDay.

He said his decision to boycott the debate is because of the unhidden bias and campaign of calumny by some key organisers of the programme against the corporate political interest of his party and his personality.

Buhari, who spoke through the Director of Media and Publicity of his campaign team, Garba Shehu, said the NEDG was wearing the toga of government and composed mainly of agencies and allies of the incumbent PDP -led administration

He said the decision should not be seen as a disrespect to the Nigerian voters.
