Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned federal lawmakers elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to an emergency meeting on Tuesday morning , reports Punch.
The meeting was called to resolve the crisis that has engulfed the party over the lawmakers’ battle for top seats in the National Assembly.

The meeting will precede the inauguration of the 8th National Assembly.
Buhari meeting with the lawmakers will be the last minute attempt after earlier ones by senior party officials failed.
Both Senator Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara who lost out in the mock election conducted by the party have insisted on contesting for the Senate Presidency and the Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively.
