Buhari praises Jonathan over handover talk

Abuja - Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, has for the first time in a long time praised President Goodluck Jonathan, reports NewsDay.

Buhari’s commendation follows Jonathan’s assurance that he will handover power to whoever emerges winner in the forthcoming presidential election billed for March 28.

Buhari, who was speaking on Wednesday when the President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission,  Kadre Ouedraogo, led a delegation to pay him a visit in Abuja, said President Jonathan’s statement was encouraging.

He assured the delegation of a peaceful atmosphere before, during and after the elections.
