Abuja - The Centre for Democracy and Development has called
for an immediate investigation on all electoral offenders during the
Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections, Leadership reported.
CCD Director, Idayat Hassan, has expressed that there is a
need for a thorough investigation of electoral offenders, as there were several
cases of fraud and violence in particular Rivers State as the situation in the
state was very disturbing.

Security agents have reported many of the cases to the
commission of electoral violence. Some of the cases include attacking INEC
officials, hijacking of electoral material and arson.
