Cambridge University clears Buhari over alleged forged WASC result

Lagos - The University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, UCLES, now Cambridge Assessment, has further cleared the air on the controversy surrounding the West African School Certificate (WASC) results of Muhammadu Buhari, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress,  reports Premium Times.

The institution in a new post on its website, disclosed that result grades for the examination in 1961 were issued in numbers and not letters as being peddled in some quarters.

The 1961 results according to the board were classed in grades from 1 to 9.

The Assessment board also noted that for candidates to qualify for its certificate in 1961, they needed to pass English, and not necessarily Mathematics.

Results presented by Buhari shows he had credits in English Language, Geography, Health Science, Hausa Language; failed in Mathematics and Woodwork, and had a pass in Literature in English.
