Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan is a sound leader with a vision to develop Nigeria further, a senior official of his campaign team said.
Deputy Chairman, Finance Committee of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organization, Dr Ngozi Olejeme, told media that Jonathan, if re-elected, would continue to put democracy on top of his agenda with a view to strengthening the tenets of good governance.
“President Jonathan is a democrat and a passionate defender of human rights. He believes in servant leadership. For him, public service is a calling, and he will continue to serve the country from that perspective carefully, with humility and with a servant’s heart,” she said in Abuja.

Olejeme, who is also the Chairperson of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), praised Jonathan for his leadership qualities and his efforts at expanding economic opportunities for Nigerians.
“President Jonathan has a proven track record of innovative thinking,” she said.
She attributed the level of development in the last four years to the President’s ability and strength in initiating people-oriented policies, which she said had improved the lives of people.
“Dr Jonathan is a transparently impartial father of all. He is caring, patriotic, generous and hard-working,” Olejeme added.
Jonathan and All progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, are frontrunners for the biggest post in the continent’s biggest economy and most populous country.
The polls are scheduled for March 28.
