Lagos - Lagos State governor Babatunde Raji Fashola has refused to blame Independent National Electoral Commission for card readers hitches recorded in some poling units in the state.

There were hitches of card reader in some poling units in Oshodi and on the Island.

Fashola also submitted that it is humane for INEC officials to arrive late to their duty posts.

“This is a logistic operation going on nationwide, there will be faults here and there. There’ll be late arrival, vehicles can break down,” Fahola said after casting his vote.

“So in some places I learnt their machines are working well during accreditation, in some places they said some people were late, people go late to their own weddings, let’s just understand this. People should be patient.”

The governor, alongside his wife and son, cast their votes at unit 002 in State Grammar School, Surulere at about 4pm, after two hours of waiting on the queue.
