Cross River PVCs accidentally taken to Kebbi

Abuja - Cross River State Resident Electoral Commissioner Okey Ezeani has disclosed that some Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) that were meant for voters in the state have wrongfully been transported to Kebbi State, PUNCH reports.

Speaking during a visit to Governor Liyel Imoke, Ezeani revealed that outstanding PVCs have yet to be delivered to Yakurr, Calabar-South, Calabar Municipality and Bakassi local government areas.

In response to current issues facing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Ezeani has lauded the postponement of the elections as a chance for the Commission to fix some of the problems it is facing.

When requested to comment on the number of PVCs that have been distributed throughout the state, Ezeani revealed that an 82 per cent distribution throughout the Cross River State.

The REC also used the visit as an opportunity to showcase how the card reader works to Imoke and members of the Cross Rriver State Executive Council.
