Abuja - One of the aspirants for the post of the Speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has taken his case to the newly elected members of the House, reports Leadership.
In a letter to the new lawmakers on Monday, Dogara urged the newly elected members to consolidate on the achievement of the outgoing 7th Assembly led by former Speaker, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal by voting for him.

Dogara, who is currently the chairman House Services Committee, promises to continue with the achievements of Tambuwal if he is elected the Speaker of the House.
Dogara has also picked Hon. Lasun Yussuf (APC, Osun) to run alongside him as Deputy Speaker.
