Abuja - The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has
called on all political stakeholders in the Ekiti State, especially
All Progressives Congress lawmakers, to embrace the new spirit
of reconciliation, forgiveness and dialogue Governor Ayo Fayose

Governor Fayose's new posture is a step in the right
direction geared towards achieving the much desired peace and development in
the interest of the masses who freely gave him their mandate, said Metuh.
It is in this spirit that we charge all political stakeholders
in Ekiti state especially the APC lawmakers to embrace peace
and work with their governor to move their state forward. The unity,
stability and progress of the state must be paramount and placed over and
above all personal and group interest at all times.
PDP also praised the people of Ekiti state for standing up
in defence of the mandate they gave to Fayose while urging them to
ensure that all their actions and utterances fall within the ambit of the
law and the tenets of democracy.
Metuh urged the APC, as the party in opposition in Ekiti
State, to strive to be constructive.
Opposition does not in any way mean destruction in a
democracy, said Metuh.
The APC is disputing the election of Fayose last year
citing dome irregularities.
However, last week, the courts dismissed the party's
challenge on the grounds that it lacked merit.
