Kaduna - The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Nasir El-Rufai as the winner of the governorship election in Kaduna state.
El-Rufai’s victory under the All Progressives Congress was a landmark as he garnered 1 117 635 as against 485 833 votes gotten by Peoples Democratic Party’s Ramalan Yero, who is the incumbent governor.

APGA was able to come third with a vote of 20 140.
Governor Yero has reportedly conceded defeat and called El-Rufai to congratulate him.
Spokesperson of Kaduna State APC Campaign Council, Samuel Aruwan is said Yero called El-Rufai today at 3 p.m to wish him well and congratulate him on his victory.
